About ESN Card

What fields does ESN Card contain? 

It consists of several fields, all must be filled while issuing:

• PHOTO FIELD (for a photograph of the card holder, with a photo size of 2,9 x 3,5 cm)
• NAME (for name and surname of the card holder)
• DATE OF BIRTH
• ESN SECTION (either the issuing section or home section of the card holder)
• COUNTRY (home country of the card holder)
• VALID UNTIL (12 months from the issuing date)
• CARD NUMBER (unique number of each card)
• BAR CODE (only if requested while ordering)

ESN Card was created with the principle idea to be used as a membership card, but in most of the ESN countries it is also used to offer discounts.

According to principle of creation, it is always issued as valid  for 12 months card, invalid without photo and correct personal data, never to be used by somebody else than the CARD HOLDER.

In Estonia we use the card mostly as a membership card - to give discounts and to give a priority in participating in ESN events - but we are really glad to offer you discounts all over Estonia.

You can be an ESN Card owner, if:

• You have been an exchange student (e.g. Erasmus or any other exchange programme)
• You are currently on exchange
• You are an active member of an ESN section.

How to apply for one in Estonia?

• Contact your University International Club or
• Come in ESN Office in Raekoja plats 16 on the Office hour on Wednesdays from 17.30- 19.00.

ESN Card ehk Erasmus Student Network Card on liikmekaart, mida kasutatakse välistudengite, ESN liikmete ning mobiilsuse toetajate poolt üle terve Euroopa.

Kaart on Erasmuse põlvakonna sümbol – mobiilne, aktiivne ja edukas.
ESN Cardi omanikud on Tallinna ja Tartu kõrgkoolides õppivad välistudengid, paljud välismaal õppinud Eesti tudengid ning paljud noored, kes tahavad käia ESN üritustel ning suhelda võõraste kultuuridega, kes tulevad Eestisse õppima.
Kaardi kehtivus on üks aasta ning peale ESN Tallinna ja Tartu enda ürituste annab see soodustusi igasugustes huvitavates kohtades üle Eesti - peamiselt muidugi nendes kohtades, mida välistudengile kõige enam vaja on.
